Prior to launching Rhythm & Blues, Rick was Director of Worldwide Training, Education and Consulting for Seagate Software, establishing the division in 1996 and launching startup and strategic partnerships throughout central and northern Europe, Australia and Canada from 1996 to 1999. Following the acquisition of Seagate by VERITAS Software in 1999, Rick served as Director of American Operations for Education Services establishing new operations and revenue opportunities in the US, Canada, Mexico and Brazil and finally as Director for Global Strategic Business Development for the education division of VERITAS developing and negotiating service and delivery related contracts in the F100 software market space.
Rick is married to Brenda Hayes Brown and has three sons, Justin, Sean and Brendan, daughter-in-law Ashley, and a beautiful granddaughter Haylee Elizabeth. Brenda is very active in the community in Winter Springs and Seminole County as a member of the boards of the Oviedo-Winter Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Seminole Cultural Arts Council, the UCF Town & Gown Council, and the UCF Community Council. Justin, Ashley and Haylee live in Winter Springs; Sean is studying to become a firefighter; and Brendan is a freshman at UCF.
